Moment Ventures is a new seed & early stage venture capital firm based out of Palo Alto, CA. We invest in companies building the Infrastructure of Everything, the technologies and business platforms needed to connect digital and physical networks.

With so many new explosive categories of IT-enabled products in development, such as drones, connected cars, robots, virtual and mixed reality devices, 3D printing, sensors and even people-based platforms, we would like to work with those entrepreneurs focused on building the unique business and technology infrastructure needed to ignite a new category of connected devices for growth. The Infrastructure of Everything also includes the multi-trillion dollar traditional IT infrastructure space, where we look for cloud-first, mobile-first and machine learning innovations in data center, security, networking, storage, collaboration, performance, analytics and more.

Our Team

Each partner has decades of investing and operating experience in IT infrastructure startups.
Ammar Hanafi
Co-Founder and General Partner
Ammar Hanafi spent over 10 years as an early stage VC at Alloy Ventures, and previously ran the corporate development team at Cisco.
Clint Chao
Co-Founder and General Partner
Clint Chao began his venture career as a co-founder of Formative Ventures, and was an early sales and marketing executive at C-Cube and SkyStream Networks.
Rajiv Khemani
Co-Founder and Venture Partner
Rajiv Khemani is currently Co-Founder and CEO of Innovium. He previously served as an EIR at NEA and as Chief Operating Officer at Cavium.
Each partner has experienced success in the IT infrastructure world as both entrepreneur and investor. We work as a team with our portfolio companies, as we each bring a different set of skills, experiences and perspectives to help our entrepreneurs.

In addition, we are backed by small family offices and high net worth individuals who have many years of operating and investing experience at some of Silicon Valley's most successful infrastructure companies and venture capital firms. These companies include Cisco, AT&T, VMware, Google, NEA, Intel, Emergence Capital, GoDaddy and many more.

Portfolio

We invest in 3 distinct categories of Infrastructure of Everything companies: IT Innovations, New Device Ecosystems and People-Based Platforms. IT Innovations include disruptors in networking, security, storage, data center, analytics and other traditional IT categories. New Device Ecosystems companies seek to connect new categories of physical devices (drones, robots, cars, etc) with business and technology platform solutions. People-Based Platforms companies build powerful platform software to connect disparate groups of people using IT.
